Riders Spring into Action in North American League Rankings

Riders Spring into Action in North American League Rankings
Annville, PA - May 10, 2016 - Results from the start of the spring competition season have launched several changes to the North American League (NAL) division rankings, as riders continue to pursue valuable points that will earn them a spot in this year's NAL Finals, which will be held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and Las Vegas National Horse Show this fall.
As of May 6, Olivia Lawton, of Burr Ridge, IL and Cassandra Dreams have held onto first place and expanded their lead by over two thousand points in the Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak, with a total of 5,960 points. Lindsey Tomeu, of Wellington, FL and Bonapart are still holding second place with a total of 3,899 points, while Dean Dignelli of Katonah, NY, has moved into the top three with Redefin, earning 3,482 points so far this season for third place.
Caitlyn Epperson of Houston, TX and Au Girl continue to lead the West Coast Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak with a total of 2,025 points, while Emily Straw of Overland Park, KS, has moved up a spot into second place with 1,365 points aboard Filibuster. Third place is now occupied by Anna Binder of Austin, TX, and Waranio, who have earned a total of 1,286 points.
In the Children's Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit, it's Phoebe Alwine of Delray Beach, FL and Zenith Dance who continue to lead the division with a total 4,942 points, but second placed Taje Lynn Warrick of Davie, FL, and Dersey have cut her lead dramatically after earning over 1,500 points last month with a new total of 3,902 points. Third place now belongs to Sarah Boston of Owings Mills, MD and Herminas, who have a total of 2,933 points.
There is a new leader in the West Coast Children's Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit, as Madison Myro of Henderson, NV and Q Royal Palm Z have moved to the top of the leaderboard with 1,540 points ahead of Sedona Chamblee of Keller, TX and GPS Trans Atlantic who have earned 1,306 points in the division for second place. Last month's leader Katherine Gilpin of Keller, TX, did not add any points this month, thus dropping into third place with 1,059 points aboard Sampras.
The Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ continues to be highly competitive with big points topping the charts. Sima Morgello of Bronx, NY and Zopala earned over 2,500 points last month to jump up two spots into the lead with a current total of 6,510 points. Hot on her heels is last month's leader Jazz J Merton of Oldwick, NJ, who now holds second place aboard Ahaveros with 6,489 points. Not far behind is Caelinn Leahy of Maple Park, IL and Esquilino Bay with a total of 6,417 points.
The rankings in the West Coast Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ are status quo with nearly one thousand points separating the first second third place rider. Savannah Barry of Woodside, CA and Cocu continue to lead the division with 2,552 points, while Megan MacPherson of Boulder, CO and Deep Snow maintain second place with 1,565 points. Morgan Dickerson of Pasadena, CA and Cala D'Or 3 continue to sit in third place with 1,400 points.
Melanie Jeanes of Dallas, TX, and Carrera have proved to be strong contenders in the Adult Hunter Division, taking the lead with a total of 2,672 points. Last month's leader Charlotte Williams of Fulton, MD, has dropped into second place with Frontman with a total 2,335 points, while Mary Grossman and Benvolio round out the top three placings with a total of 1,785 points.
Jeanes and Grossman are also top contenders in the West Coast Adult Hunter Division with Jeanes and Carrera leading that division with a total of 2,672 points, while Grossman and Benvolio are in second place with 1,785 points. Lindsay Maxwell of Los Angeles, CA and Widget continue to maintain their third place status with 1,230 points.
Annie Walsh of Cazenovia, NY and Erosmith continue to lead the Children's Hunter Division with 1,737 points while next two placings have new contenders and are only separated by one point! CeCe Siegfried of Tulsa, OK and Finally Found hold second place with 1,465 points while Kathryn Crenshaw of York, PA and Chapman are putting on the pressure with 1,464 points!
Siegfried and Finally Found continue to dominate the top of the leaderboard in the West Coast Children's Hunter Division with 1,465 points and there are no changes in the next two rankings. Stella Wasserman of Beverly Hills, CA and Fine Design continue to hold second place with 1,080 points, while Lily Hudanick of Defiance, MO and Fair Play are in third place with 708 points.
The NAL qualifying season runs from September 1 through August 31. NAL qualifying classes are open to all competitors but only current members are awarded points. By joining the NAL, riders can accumulate the points necessary to make it to the Finals held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA, October 13-22, and the Las Vegas National Horse Show, in Las Vegas, NV, November 15-20. Annual memberships are only $40 per rider.
